Jennifer Shrader Lawrence (born August 15, 1990) is an American actress. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky,
she was spotted by a talent scout in New York City at the age of 14.
She soon moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career by playing
guest roles in television shows. Her first major role came as a main
cast member on the sitcom The Bill Engvall Show (2007–09). She made her film debut with a supporting role in Garden Party
(2008), following which she had her breakthrough with the acclaimed
role of a poverty-stricken teenager in the independent drama Winter's Bone (2010).
Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is best known for playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games (2012), Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook (2012), and Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle (2013).

in which she stars alongside Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro in the

Lawrence can also be seen in The Beaver (2011), Like Crazy (2011), House at the End of the Street (2012), and American Hustle (2013). She played the title role, Joy Mangano, in the 2015 David O. Russell film Joy (2015).
She’s not hiding from the media frenzy of course. She handled all difficult situations (including that embarrassing trip on the the stars when she went to accept her award) in true girl-power style and she went on to do what she does best… Made a couple of hit movies!
